Ron Pope – A Drop in the Ocean

So today I thought I’d go into university and record a cover of this lovely song by Ron Pope. Out of the many songs I’ve looked at this is definitely one of my favourites. I hope you all enjoy it!!

SunFest 2014 – Third Year Music – Evolution of Music

My final clip from the third year music performance is from a group that chose to focus on the evolution of music through time. This perhaps was one of the most interesting. Here is a short snippet from their piece. More videos will be posted soon including some footage from the Staging the Dance showcase at the Customs House in South Shields.

Hi everyone. SunFest this year was incredibly successful and I’m now in the process of going through all of the footage that I’ve taken from the festival. Across the next week, I will be posting online as much as I can that I haven’t already to give everyone an idea of what it is like and what it entails. This first video is from a showcase of some of the third years’ work. Keep checking for more updates!

Ave Maria Duet

Hi Everyone. Firstly, I apologise for the huge to delay to videos being posted. The amount of deadlines I have had this month has been incredible, from dissertations to rehearsals, you name it!! As you may or may not know, at Sunderland University, a festival called SunFest is hosted at the Customs House in South Shields, Washington Arts Centre and various other professional venues. I thought it would be a good idea to share some of the performances going on this year right here on my blog. The videos at the moment are currently being filmed and edited so I shall release them as they come. However, just to wet your appetites, I am uploading a short video of myself and my good friend Ollie Cook who recorded a version of Franz Biebl – Ave Maria. It’s something a little different to what I normally post but hopefully you will all enjoy it. This is one of the pieces that we have been learning in choir and its absolutely beautiful as a four part harmony!!
