The choreography is based on the journey, process and emotions of a suicidal person. It consists of three sections which reveal how people are overcome with pain and darkness.

The concept is based on friendships, betrayal and bullying and the complex notion of relationships – including exclusion and trying to fit in with the crowd.

Exploring the loss of movement of a person suffering from Motor-Neurone Disease, the piece will portray changes in behaviour through the breakdown and failure of the messages being sent to the brain and the notion of restriction, loss of feeling and mobility in the limbs and muscles.

So today I thought I’d go into university and record a cover of this lovely song by Ron Pope. Out of the many songs I’ve looked at this is definitely one of my favourites. I hope you all enjoy it!!

SunFest 2014 – Third Year Music – Evolution of Music

My final clip from the third year music performance is from a group that chose to focus on the evolution of music through time. This perhaps was one of the most interesting. Here is a short snippet from their piece. More videos will be posted soon including some footage from the Staging the Dance showcase at the Customs House in South Shields.

Hi everyone. SunFest this year was incredibly successful and I’m now in the process of going through all of the footage that I’ve taken from the festival. Across the next week, I will be posting online as much as I can that I haven’t already to give everyone an idea of what it is like and what it entails. This first video is from a showcase of some of the third years’ work. Keep checking for more updates!
