City and Colour @ Newcastle O2 Academy

Monday, January 27th, 2014

On Friday night I went to see City and Colour (for the second time) at Newcastle’s O2 Academy. The venue is really easy to get to, whether you drive/get the bus/get the metro and it’s probably my most visited venue for live music.

I really enjoyed it and you can read my review of the gig on Northern Lights here.

North East Food – Chips and Gravy

Friday, January 24th, 2014

If there’s one thing you need to try when you visit the North East, it has to be chips and gravy (or even fish and chips, or any kind of alternative). I really do think we have the best chips and gravy here and I treated myself to some before heading over to uni for a meeting the other day.

I know in some parts of the country (maybe even the world) it might seem strange to have gravy with chips. In fact, I don’t think you can get the combination down south, but believe me it really works!

It’s a little bit different to what I’d normally post about but food is a big thing and if you’re considering studying in Sunderland and you’re not from the area, perhaps even the country or the European continent, it may be helpful to find out some of the local favourites.

It might not look particularly appetising, but it tastes really good! Look out for my next post about North East food!

Deadlines, Dissertation and The Final Semester!

Wednesday, January 22nd, 2014

Hey!

Just a little update (and a sneaky look at some of the work I’ve been doing lately) before I begin the final semester of my three years at uni on Monday!

Trip to Berlin (Part 3)

Thursday, January 9th, 2014

The final part! I hope you’ve enjoyed watching my vlogs and I can’t wait to go travel somewhere new again soon. Lots of work to get done now though for uni as I approach my final semester and numerous assignment deadlines.

Let’s take our minds off that for a few minutes though and watch my final Berlin vlog; our last busy day, ice skating and travelling back home.
