2011 – 2012 Collage: Saying bye

Right guys,

This is such an upsetting post for me because I have to say good-bye. This is my official last blog posts for lives online. I have to say that I had a fantastic time and I wish I could do it all over again.

Once again, I want to welcome the new Lives Online bloggers and I hope they enjoy their time at Sunderland.

I don’t have much to say apart from saying thank you to everyone for watching my life change here at the University of Sunderland.

P.S. A huge shout out to David Turton, Pete Elliott and the whole marketing team!

Hope you enjoy the video below

Vlogging mistakes throughout the 12 months!

Hey guys!

Below is a video I put together to share with you nearly all my vlogging experiences! I think it’s really funny to look back and see how much I’ve learned in just blogging alone. I could safely say that before lives online I had a little bit of blogging experiences but non on vlogging…But now, I am an expert (at least I’d like to think so).

These are the skills I’ve gain from blogging for the Uni (I’m sure there are more, but I’m only writing a few):

  • Speaking – I’ve become more confident in speaking in general and particularly in front of the camera.
  • Organisation –  I’ve learned to organise my blogs and vlogs in a particular way.
  • Proofreading – Although this may sound obvious, to me it isn’t because it’s something I never really used to do. However because I was blogging, I had to make sure that I proofread everything I post.
  • Writing.
  • Editing.

Working with the NCS!

Hey guys!

So this is some of the activities I have been doing this summer!

The NCS is a summer program for young people. During this period the young people have to complete three phase of the program. The first phase is the outdoor challenge! This mainly encourage young people to get over their fears etc… The second and third phase is more of a mental challenge; the young people are asked to get more creative, do presentation of something they passionate about etc.

As you would see on my video below, the support workers were also encouraged to take part in order to set an example for the young people, which meant I had to take part too! So this was a new thing for me because I have never done this before, but it was an amazing experience.

Hope you enjoy the video.

Something new…Casting

Hello guy!

So this is a really informal video of me and few friends! Basically I was asked to help out a friend on the new movie he is making. He needed a casting crew and I was one of the directors. It was really fun and challenging at the same time because we had professional auditioning for the roles.

The movie is called “Recognition” and based on a true story, so it is very personal and important for the writer (my friend). The audition took about 3 hours and we auditioned about 28 people (some who auditioned for more than one role).

Overall, It was a really interesting experience, in the past I did drama back in school up until GCSE so I am familiar with acting and what was needed for the movie, so that helped a lot during the auditions!
