Uos Open Day 20.10.12

Thursday, October 25th, 2012

Saturday was the University’s Open Day and I was there handing out flyers and attempting to promote my blog to unsuspecting prospective students. Sound like fun? Well, it was because I got to meet (almost) the rest of the other bloggers for the first time! I was there with Kyle, Lauren and Karina and they were all so nice and I had a really good time hanging out with them. :] The weather was also absolutely gorgeous, which made for a really nice walk there and back. All in all, it was a good day and I look forward to seeing everyone again at the next Open Day! :]

Want to win £1,000?

Monday, October 15th, 2012

I should hope the answer is yes! You may have already seen this on Facebook or Fuse, but if not, here’s a quick overview of how you can win £1,000. :]

Personally, I think this is such an amazing opportunity. Not only could you win a LOT of money, but your video will be used to advertise for the university–how cool is that? So if you’re reading this, you should enter! (And that’s an order. :] )

Freshers Part 2!

Tuesday, October 2nd, 2012

So I was planning on making another video about the second week of freshers, but currently my voice is pretty much non-existant–thanks freshers flu. =P Instead I’ll just try to give you a brief overview of the past week:

  • Monday: I think this was one of the absolute best nights of freshers, hands down. It was Where’s Wally (or Where’s Waldo, for all you Americans out there) night at Passion and I got my face painted and went on a bouncy castle and basically just had an amazing night. :] I have lots of pictures of me and Megan–I guess we were in a photogenic mood!
  • Tuesday: I had course stuff all day and we were introduced to hot glass!
  • Wednesday: Freshers Fayre! I got SO MUCH free stuff and I also signed up for surfing, trampolining and equestrian–although to be honest I wanted to sign up to just about everything! Afterwards I met with Raminta, one of the other bloggers and we went to this lovely Italian restaurant called Sambuca. It was really nice to meet her. :] Afterwards I went to the Freshers Walkabout but ended up going home early.
  • Thursday: Night in with the Flat 20 Fam! We had a slumber party, ate lots of food and watched movies. :]
  • Friday: Ministry of Sound night at North Shore and it was AMAZING. Once again, I took a lot of pictures.
  • Saturday: Went shopping during the day then had a night in with my flatmates and pizza. =P
  • Sunday: Quiz Night! It was so much fun and our team actually did surprisingly well. :] Still can’t believe it was the last night of freshers. :[ I’m going to miss it so much!
