Kamile Niunevaite | University of Sunderland

Journalism BA (Hons)

Summertime and the livin is easy! As this ‘easy’ time has already begun here comes the moment to do all the thing we ‘did not have time for’ for the whole year. There are lots of things I want to do and places I want to go  every summer. But this summer I already have some plans that I will definitely carry out.

1. Spend two weeks with my best friends in Lithuania
Since the last time that I’ve been in Lithuania in January I really missed my friends a lot. Now that I came back again I try to give them every spare minute and I want to meet as many of them as I can. Unfortunately, most of my friends are still studying as the academic year finishes much later in Lithuania that in the UK. But we still organize some parties, go to the lakes or just simply have fun. (:

2. Go to Lithuanian seaside
Palanga is the queen of Lithuanian resorts and this summer I’m going there with my parents. Baltic sea is always as cold the North sea, but I still hope to have a chance to enjoy the waves. (:

3. Go to Cyprus
It’s the most exciting plan for this summer! I’m going to work and live with my 3 friends in Latchi beach for 2-3 months. I bet it’s going to be great. Heat, sea, new culture and best friends together. What could be better???

4. Work
The main reason that I’ve decided to go to Cyprus was to find a job and earn some money (or maybe it’s to have fun, I’m still not sure). I already have a job at the beach bar (we found it on the internet just by getting communicating with managers) and I pray that everything would be fine there.

5. Travel
I believe that this summer will be full of adventures and traveling. I plan to visit at least three cities in Cyprus, to know Greek culture better, get new experience and try new things. Most of the places there are historical and very beautiful (I trust Google pictures) so I can’t wait to see at least some of them!

Enjoy your summer days and nights!
