After finishing my first year at uni I’ve decided to treat myself with some lovely food and good company.
Where? At Jamie’s Italian Newcastle.
Jamie's Italian
I’ve been waiting to go there since the restaurant has opened a few months ago. Finally the day has come.

Me at Jamie's

I liked the atmosphere, friendly staff and fresh food. I’m not a fan of seafood, salads or big steaks + I wanted to eat in Italian way. So I chose to eat Carbonara and I was completely happy with my choice. By the way, the small portion was enough for me (:

One more thing that I really loved about Jamie’s Italian is that you can buy lots of products just in a restaurant and to take a piece of Jamie home with you. The shop offers lots of things like seasonings, pasta, planks, plates, mugs, oven gloves and Jamie Oliver recipe books, of course.

It is totally worth going there together with your friends or family to enjoy a nice place and delicious food in Jamie’s Oliver Italian way.

Even though it’s last weeks of uni and we (all students) have lots of things to do, essays to write and books to read, students’ life is more about having lots of fun fun fun! Especially in your first year at uni!

Nightlife and a variety of clubs is one more thing that the North-East could be proud of.

Night clubs such as Union, the Basement and Illusions (Passion) are the places where night life in Sunderland comes alive.

Here are some photos with my best memories of partying in Sunderland. All memories are very good and I hope that next year I will have even more. (:

Hey hey hey all fashionistas!

It’s the first time in my life that I’ll have an opportunity to attend a fashion week. As I live in Newcastle, it’s definitely a good chance and interesting new experience.

NE1’s Newcastle Fashion Week is taking place 9th to 17th May 2014. So there are lots of chances to spend at least one day surrounded by catwalks, fashion parties and workshops. I’ve already seen the fittings yesterday (hihihi) and can’t wait to see the big show.

Futhermore, as I have to finish my last essays for uni this week, I try to find enough to find enough time to rest and watch some films about secret corners of fashion world. Here’s my top 3:

Have you seen them all?

It’s not a secret that during my Spring holidays I’ve spent a few days in Scotland. I visited Edinburgh and Glasgow and fell in love with these cities, their culture, architecture and visited objects.
I’ll definitely come back to Scotland at the end of May as I’ll attend BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend festival in Glasgow.

I was traveling together with my classmate who is studying in Glasgow now. It’s such a good feeling to have an opportunity to see old friends again and to meet in the UK. There are lots of Lithuanian students studying in Scotland as well, so I’ve met quite a lot.

Here’s a video with the most memorable moments of our trip. I know that I can’t convey everything I’ve seen and felt there but I hope you’ll enjoy watching!

Our trip started in Newcastle when my friend Vytautas came here to visit me after few days of chilling and exploring Newcastle we had to wake up early in the morning and catch the first train to Edinburgh. At first it was raining there and the wind was not very friendly. I thought “I don’t really like Scotland.” But later the weather was getting better and better and I really enjoyed my days spent there. Edinburgh is such a beautiful city and there are lots of places to visit. Time was flying there so we’ve decided to stay there two days longer as one day wasn’t enough. Last two days of our trip were spent in Glasgow. We arrived there only at night so firstly we’ve seen the city at night. It looks amazing when you’re standing on the hill and can city the whole city!

If you have a chance to travel and explore new places, these three cities should be on your “must visit list”!
Travel is the only thing money can buy that makes  you richer. Everybody knows that, right?
