My Placement Rollercoaster Journey

This video is a creative reflective storyboard for the applied placement module UBG360! This module is for any students which did a placement year, as part of their dissertation.
It was really fun to make, and helped me reflect upon all of the incidents and feelings I had during my placement year. I had to include a number of hidden models/theories, such as the Johari window – based on feedback from important people in my life.

Dissertation!!!!!!!!

It is finally over! After months of stress, drama and tears it was definitely worth the satisfaction of handing in the most important piece of work in my life so far.

I thought that I was so ahead and prepared for my dissertation, until the final week when I underestimated how long it takes to add all of the figures, tables, references and edits! After my experience, here is my advice to you on writing your dissertation.

Dissertation Tips:

1) Choose a topic/company you enjoy… it makes it SO much easier and maybe even enjoyable to write, and if you write it on a topic which you want to pursue a career in, it is a great to add to your CV and a good conversation to bring up during an interview (speaking from experience!)

2) Start ASAP! Sounds obvious, but seriously.. don’t leave it to the last few months. I would start thinking about the topic at the beginning of your final year.

3) Meet up with your dissertation mentor as many times as possible, they are likely to be the ones marking your work and there advice is extremely important.

4) Don’t be afraid to change the topic during the process. I probably changed my title four times because during the literature review, your knowledge is constantly expanding and you find out which gaps exsit in the topic.

How to make Toaster Strudels!

strawberry-toaster-strudel

Hi guys, after moving back to the UK one of the things i really miss from the US are toaster strudels!
If you have lived/live in America you will know what they are, basically they are a pastry full of jam with icing sugar on the top, and you typically have them for breakfast.

They don’t sell them in the UK, and i couldn’t even order any online.. so i found a recipe, and they were actually pretty good. Here is the video on how I made them!

Long Distance Relationships at University

I decided to make a blog on surviving a long distance relationship when moving away from your loved ones to go to University. I know many people who want to go to a University away from home but end up staying at home because they are afraid of leaving.

I believe choosing a University is one of the most important decisions of your life, and you should always make the decision on what YOU believe to be the right choice. It is very possible to survive a long distance relationship whilst going to University, and you will only end up stronger as a couple at the end of it. I hope my video helps!
