Livesonline – Brigita Leonaviciute

BSc (Hons) Psychology

Hi, my name is Brigita. Nice to meet you too!

Friday, September 26th, 2014

There are two things I cannot believe: first, I’m a third year student, second – this is my final year. It feels that there are still too many things to learn and only less than nine months left.  I-M-P-O-S-S-I-B-L-E!

10549649_1456859304573711_808181502_nI still remember myself: a fresher who has no clue which way is St Peters campus.  And yes, I really took a taxi to university on the first day in order to avoid getting lost somewhere in Sunderland.  Also, let’s not forget one little fact – I was living at the Forge at that time and university mini-buses shuttle between campuses and students accommodation. But somehow I didn’t know about it…

However, today, two years after, I know Sunderland pretty well and can tell you a lot about all the nice things happening down here. At the first sight an average city on the seaside doesn’t look like a place you can find many things to do, but believe me stuff does happen here quite often. 10576075_1655682717989574_1463619683_n

For example, every year in July we have an International Air Show. This summer I was there and enjoyed it a lot. I was especially impressed by the jet fighters show. It’s breathtaking to watch them doing loops in the sky. The noise was a pain for my ears, but the view was superb!

If you missed the Air Show, take a look at the highlights bellow:
