Christmas Dinner With Friends

Thursday, December 11th, 2014

Hi! IMG_3127

As today is the last week of uni this year and the majority of people (including me) will be going home in a couple of days,  I went to Newastle with my friends for a Christmas dinner. We’ve chosen Harry’s Restaurant which is located in the town centre, oposite the Monument metro station.

I really like Harry’s because the food is tasty and the prices are normal, plus the atmosphere is really good – friedly staff. I’ve been here already a couple of times and decided to offer to try this restaurant for my friends and they all said yes. So we booked a table four weeks ago and today we finally had our lush dinner.

Hope you are all doing ok! 1513237_772258369456131_278383038_n

Only 14 days left until Christmas and I haven’t started buying presents for my family and friends.

Everyone keeps talking about Christmas shopping and uploading images on Instagram of wrapping paper and I’m not bothering too much about that.

Actually I want to confess that I am very bad zt presents wrapping… Do you know what? I am going to make a video tutorial – How to Wrap a Present. I will teach you and myself at the same time. However, I need to buy Christmas gifts first.

As I’m not a shopping kind of girl and hate walking in the mall looking for a perfect present, I found a website – Not on the Hight Street ( – where you can find unique gift ideas. Although, if you are involved in a Secret Santa game and your budget is upto £5, you will probably struggle to find many choices. But if you are looking for presents for you parents, boyfriend or other close friends then ‘Not on the High Street’ is a perfect place.

By the way, they are having discounts every day until Christmas of 30% for 12 daily products. So don’t miss a chance to save some money. I’m going to check the website and hopefully will buy some presents for my family and boyfriend.

Have a nice day!

It’s Friends O’clock!

Hope you all are ok!

It’s really strange to have weekends off as I used to work over the weekends for the past couple of years. Being a waitress means living a life without a weekdays and weekends system, Saturdays become equal to Monday and 9 to 5 can sometimes be your rest time. However, I can’t complain, because the tips used to be amazing.IMG_3054

But as I am having weekends off since October, sometimes I swap Saturday’s library sessions into a quality time with friends. Last night I went bowling with my friends. As we were four girls and four guys, we decided to have a competition – girls against boys. I play bowling pretty well and as my boyfriend said he is very bad in it, so I thought we had a real chance to win. But unfortunately, the luck was supporting the guys.

After we finished the bowling session, we went to play some video games and I tried motorcycle races. That game was pretty cool, as you actually get to sit on a motorcycle and everything looks so realistic… I had an amazing time. We are planning to go for a Christmas dinner on 10th of December in Newcastle. So I’m looking forward to that!

Sunderland vs Manchester City

Saturday, December 6th, 2014

Hope you are all doing ok!

I can’t believe it’s already December! Only a couple of weeks more and we’ll be celebrating Christmas, and starting a second semester in the University. SECOND SEMESTER OF THE FINAL YEAR!!!!! However, deep breath and don’t freak out!

As I am having a very busy time and trying to get done as much uni work done as I possibly can before Christmas, I still go out with my friends occasionally. Socializing is very important. Last night I had a chance to go to see the football match between the Sunderland and the Manchester City clubs at the Stadium of Light. Unfortunately, Sunderland lost the match 1:4 this time… but still, well done guys!

I’m not the biggest football fan, but I really enjoyed the game. Before the game I was very pessimist about it and thought it would be the most boring 90 minutes of my life, but actually I found it entertaining. Especially it was fun when Sunderland’s team scored a goal and everyone just jumped in the air and started screaming from excitement. Well actually I was a bit scared at the beginning, but then stood up and joined the crowd. IMG_3027

The most exciting thing for me was Sunderland’s mascot Wild Cat. When I saw that giant kitten walking around the stadium, I became a 5-years-old girl that desperately needs to get a picture with it. The kitten was covering my face with its paw, so it took me 5 minutes to get a normal picture.

The worst thing about the match was that I got supercold. I was dreaming about a cup of hot chocolate all the time and definitely bringing one with me next time.
